Prasanth Dharmarajan is one of the leading experts on Panchakarma in India today. He was recently appointed Assistant Professor of the Panchakarma department at All India Institute of Ayurveda – India’s top authority for education and practice of Ayurvedic Medicine. In 2015 he completed his PhD in Panchakarma from the Institute for Post-Graduate Teaching and Research in Jamnagar and became the first Ayurvedic Physician from the state of Kerala to achieve this – the highest level of Ayurvedic Medical education possible in India. He has received numerous awards, published over a dozen scientific articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals, and is considered one of the country’s best teachers of the classical science. He previously served in the Department of Integrative Medical Studies at the Mata Amritanandamayi Math and its School of Ayurveda, in Kerala. Dr. Prasanth manages exceptionally challenging and often “incurable” medical cases for patients who seek him out from every corner of India and the world. During his Post-Graduate and PhD studies, he directed and taught several of the country’s most highly respected educational programs for foreign students, doctors and medical personnel from various disciplines, academicians, and many others for short and long term courses. Additionally, Dr. Prasanth is extending the reach of authentic Ayurveda globally through his participation in the development of the AyurvedaFirst model of sustainable healthcare, myAyu and the American Journal of Ayurveda. With so many great accomplishments this early in his career, Dr. Prasanth stands to become one of the living legends of Ayurveda in the 21st century.
